Nowadays people are expecting some good show up of informations attractively and crisp way of delivering them on a single shot. So one such feature is Information Window in documents –> wherein the user can click on a particular value and see the drill down value of that particular selections. Also earlier it dint work I flash mode and hence it was widely used in mobile /iPad dashboards wherein we used interactive mode for display. But now they have enabled the same in express and flash modes too from MicroStrategy 931 onwards. Hope the below tech note would help you to use the same.

New feature in MicroStrategy Web 9.3.0: Stand-alone selector triggers information window when running a Report Services document in Flash/Express mode
SYMPTOM:
In MicroStrategy Web 9.3.0, stand-alone selector triggers information window when running a Report Services document in Flash/Express mode.
In MicroStrategy Tutorial project example below, a dashboard includes 4 objects: 1 grid with Category and Revenue; 1 panel stack used as information window; 1 grid inside information window and 1 stand-alone selector on Year. Both Category in grid and selector are targeting at information window, as shown below:
Run the dashboard in Flash/Express mode, note that changes in Year selector trigger Information window even when no Category elements are selected, as shown below:
CAUSE:
This is a new feature in MicroStrategy Web 9.3.0, stand-alone selector can trigger information window when running a Report Services document in Flash/Express mode.
User can take advantages of this feature to trigger information window by selectors.
ACTION:
To avoid selector triggering information window, change selector’s target to objects inside information window rather than information window itself, as shown below:
Then information window can only be triggered by clicking one Category in grid while selector can select the data inside information window, as shown below:
