How to connect to a Teradata V14 database instance from MicroStrategy Analytics Desktop
In order to connect to any Teradata database instance from MicroStrategy Analytics Desktop, the Teradata Native ODBC driver should be used.
Follow the steps below to create a new Database connection to connect to a Teradata V14 database instance from MicroStrategy Analytics Desktop:
1 – In MicroStrategy Analytics Desktop, on the left side, click on the Import … menu and select the Data option, as shown:
2 – Select the Database data source:
3 – Click on the green New connection icon to create a new database connection:
4 – Select DSN Connections:
5 – Click on the add button 
to create a new DSN:

6 – In the ODBC Data Source Administrator, select the System DSN tab and click on the Add button:
7 – Select the Teradata driver and click on Finish:
8 -Configure the ODBC driver with the database connection information and click on OK:
9 – Click on the Home button and follow the steps 1 to 4 to create a new Database connection by selecting the recently created DSN.
10- Select the recently created Database connection to access the database tables under the Available Tables menu, as shown:
