Rajavel Selvaraj Ganesan(Vels) is a Business Intelligence Architect in the emerging service providing company. He has a unique blend of product management and “hands-on” experience in data warehousing, reporting, visualization, and advanced analytics. In addition to keeping a constant pulse on industry trends, he enjoys delving into oceans of data to solve complex problems with business intelligence tools & machine learning.
Over the past 8 years, Vels has served as a technical lead for service implementation firms. He has experience launching new products, building an enterprise business intelligence solution, building an Mobile Apps on iPhone/iPad using MicroStrategy and turning around failed projects successfully.
Vels has a Bachelor of Engineering – Computer Science & Engineering, Cum Laude from the Anna University, Tirunelveli through Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi and an International MBA in Project Management from Ulyanovsk State University, Russia. He was also honored to be a “MicroStrategy Master” for last 3 years (from 2017 to 2019) & earlier in the old community called as “MicroStrategy Guru”. Photography is my hobby 🙂 So watch out for my photography’s in the blog sometimes.
My tech career began at L&T Infotech in 2011 & currently working for Atos Syntel as Consultant. Following graduation, I was trained on BI & DW stream from initial career focus itself primarily focused on MicroStrategy. I was trained by an expert Mahendrakumar Sethu & other folks within L&T Infotech. Later I enrolled in MicroStrategy community forum and started growing myself by spending more time/energy in gaining more knowledge of Business Intelligence solutions for the end users. I have been an SME to build the BOBJ to MicroStrategy conversion (whole idea was given and driven by me while working in my previous organization). Have also been an SME for Cognos to MicroStrategy conversions. I have been awarded three consecutive years(Hat-trick) as “MicroStrategy Master” by MicroStrategy organization itself (which is an leading BI vendor in the market for several years). Currently, I’m learning & researching on machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) visualization, translation and explanation techniques.
